Today were going to be answering a couple questions from Kristi – a listener of the podcast.

She actually has two questions:
1. What is an appropriate TSH level in a geriatric pt.? At what level should medication be initiated? If pt. is already on levothyroxine, should different parameters be used when making dose changes?

2. Can you please discuss at what age should birth control be stopped and the best way to determine if a woman is in menopause if she is still on hormone containing birth control methods which would still cause her to bleed.

Also, this is the last week to subscribe to win a free download of the PA Boards Review app. All you have to do is click here and enter your email. That’s it! I’ll be sending out an email with information on how to win in the next couple days!
