Update: The antibiotic lectures are up. Click here to go to the lecture page…
It seems like for a lot of physician assistant students pharmacology is a topic most are struggling with. Specifically, it seems as if antibiotics are a main source of pain.
I can definitely relate. Pharmacology was a struggle for me as well. We had a great pharmacist who came in for lecture, however, he only came in every now and then. The majority of our lectures were taught by physician assistants.
Their lectures definitely lacked in substance. Pharmacology is incredibly important as you are writing scripts all day, every day. I can definitely tell you that you will write a lot of scripts for antibiotics!
So, what I wanted to do was make a resource available to help you with the topic of antibiotics. Heres what I need from you:
- Do you learn best reading text, watching a video, or listening to audio?
- Are there any specifics you want to know about antibiotics or would you like a general overview?
- What would you like to see in this resource?
I would love to read your responses. Please leave me a comment below so I can get this out for you. Oh, and this will be a free resource for you guys 🙂
In the mean time, check out this podcast I created in December of 2013 for a quick overview of antibiotics. Hope to hear from you soon!
